NIRF Ranking from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi: The Union Human Resource Development Ministry released rankings of Indian educational institutions based on the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). NIRF covered 3,500 different institutes in four different categories viz; Engineering, Management, University, Pharmacy and the list was released by Human Resource Development minister Smt. Smriti Irani. NIRF is the first comprehensive framework to rank Indian institutions on the basis of a set of objective parameters.

The rankings were based mainly on a five parameters from Core Committee set up by MHRD. The main parameters used for assessment were:

1. Teaching, Learning and Resources
2. Research and Professional Practices
3. Graduation Outcomes
4. Outreach and Inclusivity
5. Perception

The rankings consist of 100 institutes in Engineering and University Categories and 50 institutes in Management and Pharmacy Categories and here is list of institutes from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

7th Rank – Indian Institute Of Technology, Hyderabad

71st Rank – Chaitanya Bharathi Institute Of Technology, Hyderabad
73rd Rank – SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram

16th Rank – University College Of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Warangal
20th Rank – Raghavendra Institute Of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Anantapur

38th Rank – Institute Of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad


However some of the well known institutions in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh like JNTU-H, Andhra University, Kakatiya University.. etc haven’t sent their details for the NIRF rankings.
