Tsunami Warning for Chennai

Chennai: Just limping back to commonality after a staggering violent wind, Chennai is confronting yet another risk of Tsunami. National Maritime Information Center (NMIC) in a discharge on Sunday cautioned that the ocean levels would ascend to eight to 10 feet high and can bring about genuine harm on the beach front territory from Kulachchal in Kanyakumari locale to Keelakkarai in Ramanathapuram region. The effect of hurricanes and stormy waves would last till Monday night, the notice said. 

As the hurricanes are at a pace of 44km to 55km every hour from the north-eastern course, anglers are requested that not go into the ocean. The ocean levels at Kanyakumari officially climbed and all vehicle at Vivekananda and Tiruvalluvar statues was shut. Wave salvage groups are cautioned.
